PAULA will be used in DCSA’s pilot at Valenciaport

The PAULA platform developed by SEAPort Solutions will be used in the pilot tests with DCSA (Digital Container Shipping Association) standards at Valenciaport.

During the pilot, the main stakeholders will provide and exchange real-time information of a series of previously agreed and selected port calls. The participants will be the Port Authority of Valencia, the Port Control service provided by the Pilots Corporation, shipping lines and consignees and the three container terminals (CSP Iberian Valencia Terminal, APMT and MSCTV). Each of them will access by credentials to the platform to report data according to roles and permissions will be established to ensure that they do not access information on port calls that are not relevant to them. The technology platform will allow them to communicate their events and track the progress of operations in real time through a timeline of events.

The main goal of the pilot test is to manually communicate a set of operational port call timestamps included in the version 1.0. of DCSA Standard definitions. It aimed to try and see whether it can be established a fully digital negotiation cycle of the port call arrival, cargo operations and departure processes.
